THE BIO
Charlie Ramirez is the head football coach at Pittsburg High School, a four-time NCS Division I champion program and 2024 CIF Division I-AA state finalist. A 1994 Pittsburg graduate, Coach Ram was a linebacker on the iconic 1991 Pirates team that beat De La Salle 35-27 for the NCS title, the last team to beat De La Salle before their national-record 151-game win streak.
He served ten years as Pittsburg's defensive coordinator before being named head coach in December 2022, the program's first new head coach in over two decades. Coach Ram's Ramrod Defense has produced D1 talent including Jamar Searcy, Jewelous Walls, and Rashid Williams.
He is also Dean of Students at Pittsburg High School, where his investment in every student reaches well beyond the football field.
